Cape Web Design Adopts A Penguin
By Ms Darden Lotz (Fundraising Manager SANCCOB)

Congratulations. I have adopted African Penguin "Webby" (R0519) on your behalf - as a gesture of sincere thanks for the wonderful support you have given SANCCOB.

Enclosed please find your official adoption certificate and a photograph of your penguin. This particular penguin was chosen because of his web-like feet!

Webby was rescued from Dyer Island in December 2002 because he was oiled. He was washed, rehabilitated and released by SANCCOB near the Robben Island penguin colony. Webby gained a whopping 0.71kg during the three weeks he was in our care!

Each penguin we release carries a unique flipper band for identification purposes in the wild. Once a penguin is adopted, he may never be adopted by anyone else. He is yours for life.

On behalf of all the penguins and other sea birds you have helped us to rehabilitate and release back to their natural environment, a sincere and hearty thank you.

Yours sincerely

Ms Darden Lotz
Fundraising Manager
